PAPER ART: ORIGINALS STYLE

FOR THE LOVE OF PAPER. That's my tag line and one that defines my business of 13 years, Originals Paper Art, and me, Brooke Goans. I've been 'playing' with paper for decades and love to push the creative envelope... pun {fully} intended!

I came across this photo taken back in 2009 at Poppy in Columbia, Missouri. I used to consign my paper creations at this beautiful gallery and miss shopping there. Be sure to take a minute to visit their website and tour their store.

Look closely and you'll see projects I designed and created using a variety of paper: charmed greeting cards, hanging wall organizer, lamp shade, mini accordion cards, luminaries, embellished paperback sketch books, numerous note card sets, photo albums, embellished picture frames and my favorite, the hardback sketch books.

As the seasons change and the holidays draw near, I find my studio calling and look forward to crafting again. What's on your project list? Mine is long and growing thanks to Pinterest... HA!

FOR THE LOVE OF PAPER – that's why I like to design for print. I love the color, weight, texture and emotion that accompanies a fine piece of paper.

Think about it... where a vibrant yellow piece of paper might brighten your day, a soft blue piece might calm your day. A metallic paper often represents a celebration of sorts, for example: your graduation, wedding and/or birthday! And MY absolute favorite paper comes in a large sheet and is often considered handmade.

You can express your creativity in so many ways with paper: stationery, invitations, gift wrap, handmade books and boxes, lamp shades, window treatments, wall decor and so much MORE.
