HANDMADE WITH LOVE

As fall rolls in I love to tap back into my inner creative self, I chose to create a canvas that resembled those you see on Pinterest and/or in retail stores. The best thing about mine is that it's handmade with love and truly an original.

Below is the sketch I worked from. I sketched this one evening while sitting at Red Robin waiting for Allen to arrive in Seattle on the ferry for date night. I love sketching in public places, you get so many looks and inquiries.



And here is the 3 x 3 (mini) practice version. I used watercolor pencils to create a neutral wash background. Once it was dry I pencil sketched very lightly to ensure my spacing and position was correct. Then came time for the final brown Sharpie pen... YIKES! I love how it turned out.

Now for the final project... it's time to tackle the 10 x 10 canvas! Check back in the weeks ahead to see the final masterpiece.
